AWG-PNW GEOLOGY AND HOT SPRINGS TOUR OF SOUTHEASTERN BC IS POSTPONED TO MAY 2022
Registration will reopen late this year on the AWG website for our 11-day field trip in southeastern British Columbia, visiting several hot springs and looking at the spectacular geology and scenery. AWG FIELD TRIP TO THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SAN ANDREAS FAULT: SEPTEMBER 16-23, 2021
There’s still space on this field trip with Williams GeoAdventures to tour the San Andreas Fault from San Francisco north to Mendocino. The price (excluding airfare) is anticipated to be close to the original total price of $1900 (~double or triple occupancy). AWG FIELD TRIP TO ICELAND: JULY 6-18 2022
Next year, AWG’s field trip will be to Iceland. Tentative cost (excluding airfare) is $5800. The trip will be led by AWG’s Communications Coordinator Tamie Jovanelly, a geology professor at Berry College who has recently authored Iceland: Tectonics, Volcanics, and Glacial Features. Our lodgings at the Mount St. Helens Science and Learning Center are the opposite of physically distanced, so we’ve postponed this 4- to 5-day field trip yet another year.
